The WFTO is involved in a number of projects related to the organization’s purpose. A high priority is providing support for technician and technologist associations, and technology education in developing countries. The WFTO is collaborating with the Commonwealth Secretariat, Commonwealth of Learning, Commonwealth Association of Polytechnics in Africa and UNESCO in the development and delivery of equipment maintenance training in developing countries. The WFTO is actively involved in the World Solar Decade and was instrumental in drawing attention to the role of technology institutions in the (Harare) World Solar Summit Declaration.
